Boneless Bangus from Rufo's

If you love bangus (milkfish), then this dish is for you. But, before going there let's talk about Rufo's first.

It's my first time to eat at Rufo's and I should say the place is nice. Personally, I think it's a good place for dating, family bonding, and for meetings. The restaurant was opened by a group of friends in the year 1984 and it was named after their boss. Their restaurant is open 24/7 and they deliver too. Currently, they have four branches located at Shaw, Eastwood, Pearl Plaza, and in Makati. For more information visit their website at www.rufos.com.ph

Now back to the boneless bangus.

This dish is served with garlic rice (which is my favorite), achara (grated fresh green papaya), and fish cracker (I'm not really sure if it's a fish cracker or a squid flakes cracker, but it's definitely yummy). The bangus is well marinated and delicious that you would ask for more. I would highly recommend this dish.

The boneless bangus costs around Php. 109 pesos without drinks. Personally, I find it expensive but the serving is worth it. So, if you have extra cash, try this dish and you will love it.

Thank you and stay tuned in taste bud speaks.

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.-Matthew5:16(Our Daily Bread)

Isaiah 58:10-12

10 and if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry
and satisfy the needs of the oppressed,
then your light will rise in the darkness,
and your night will become like the noonday.
11 The Lord will guide you always;
he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land
    and will strengthen your frame.
You will be like a well-watered garden,
like a spring whose waters never fail.
12 Your people will rebuild the ancient ruins
    and will raise up the age-old foundations;
you will be called Repairer of Broken Walls,
    Restorer of Streets with Dwellings.

Roasted Chicken from Yummy Roast

As promised, here is the roasted chicken of Yummy Roast.

A little disappointed about our previous experience at Yummy Roast, we decided to give it a try again. But this time, we are going for their best seller which is, Roasted Chicken.

The roasted chicken comes in two kinds, the first one which I ordered is the regular roasted chicken. The second one is the roasted chicken with unlimited rice.

For my order, as expected, it is quite satisfying. I failed to remember the price of this dish but I am guessing it is somewhere between Php. 70 to Php. 90 pesos.

Just like with the Pork Belly Rice Topping, the rice is cooked with lemon grass. Again how I wish they serve this with a plain rice only. Then, going to the chicken, it was quite small but full of flavor. The chicken is not dry. I would recommend this dish for those who are on a diet and on a tight budget like me.
Now, the roasted chicken with unlimited rice, although I did not order this one, is I think the best choice if you're going to eat at Yummy Roast. The chicken is bigger compared to the regular roasted chicken. The rice is the same, it's with lemon grass but the succeeding rice that will be served is just plain rice, which I think is good. The price of this dish is Php. 99 pesos without drinks. I would recommend this dish for those rice lovers and to those who wants to taste the best seller of the restaurant.

So, if you happen to eat at Yummy Roast, try their roasted chicken.

Thank you and stay tuned in taste bud speaks.

Fight the good fight of faith.-1Timothy 6:12(Our Daily Bread)

Ephesians 6:10-18

The Armor of God

10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.

Pork Belly Rice Topping by Yummy Roast

In one of my travels in Manila, we happened to eat at Yummy Roast.

Since it's my first time to eat there, I do not know what to eat. So, I decided to go for a rice topping and chose Pork Belly Rice Topping for lunch.

The food was ok. It costs around Php. 70 without drinks and Php. 80 if with drinks.

At first, I thought the rice was cooked with ginger but later on I read the menu, it's not ginger, but rather it was cooked with a lemon grass. The pork belly tastes a bit sour but it was ok.

Personally, I did not enjoy the food. The rice with lemon grass tastes a bit awkward for me. Maybe I'm just not used to this kinda of flavor.  I wish they offered this dish with a plain rice. Going to the pork belly, although it was a bit sour, the belly is kinda ok because it has less fats on it. It was more meat than fats.

If you happen to eat at Yummy Roast, choose another dish or choose their best seller, roasted chicken which I'm going to talk about next time.

Thank you and stay tuned in taste bud speaks.

Oh,that they had such a heart in them that they would fear Me and always keep all My commandments!-Deuteronomy5:29(OurDailyBread)

------------------------
Deuteronomy 5:23-33

23 When you heard the voice out of the darkness, while the mountain was ablaze with fire, all the leading men of your tribes and your elders came to me. 24 And you said, "The LORD our God has shown us his glory and his majesty, and we have heard his voice from the fire. Today we have seen that a man can live even if God speaks with him. 25 But now, why should we die? This great fire will consume us, and we will die if we hear the voice of the LORD our God any longer. 26 For what mortal man has ever heard the voice of the living God speaking out of fire, as we have, and survived? 27 Go near and listen to all that the LORD our God says. Then tell us whatever the LORD our God tells you. We will listen and obey." 28 The LORD heard you when you spoke to me and the LORD said to me, "I have heard what this people said to you. Everything they said was good. 29 Oh, that their hearts would be inclined to fear me and keep all my commands always, so that it might go well with them and their children forever! 30 "Go, tell them to return to their tents. 31 But you stay here with me so that I may give you all the commands, decrees and laws you are to teach them to follow in the land I am giving them to possess." 32 So be careful to do what the LORD your God has commanded you; do not turn aside to the right or to the left. 33 Walk in all the way that the LORD your God has commanded you, so that you may live and prosper and prolong your days in the land that you will possess.

Rejoice in the Lord always.Again I will say,rejoice!-Philippians4:4(OurDailyBread)

 ------------------------

Galatians 5:16-26

16 So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. 17 For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever[a] you want. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.
19 The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.
